DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- A new poll in Iowa just days before Tuesday's caucuses suggests Mitt Romney and Ron Paul are in a statistical dead heat.

The survey by the Des Moines Register gives Romney 24 percent
and Paul 22 percent.

Rick Santorum comes in third at 15 percent, but in the last two days of the poll he leapfrogs Paul into second place.

Newt Gingrich comes in fourth at 12 percent, Rick Perry 11percent, and Michele Bachmann 7 percent.

But the poll implies a lot of votes are not solid.

A full 41percent of likely caucusgoers say they could still be convinced to change their minds.

The poll's margin of error is 4 percent.
