Houston County School board members have approved a bid to enter a local fuel purchasing agreement.
This resolution will also include the City of Dothan and the Dothan city board of education. Officials say this is all about getting a better bargain on gas for transportation.
"It's all about saving money and that's taxpayers dollars so anyway or any opportunity that we have to save money we try to take advantage of that," said Houston County School Superintendent Tim Pitchford.
The Houston County road and bridge department is also a part of this agreement.
