The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to decide a case involving Arizona's controversial immigration law.

The Justice Department says regulation immigration is the job of the federal government.

Arizona says the federal government isn't doing enough to address illegal immigration.

In April, a panel of judges blocked portions of the state's law. Portions of Alabama's immigration law were blocked in October.

Alabama Governor Robert Bentley says he views the supreme court's decision to hear the case a victory.

"I'm not surprised, I think the supreme court will have to make the final decision on all laws."

Governor Bentley went on to say that the essence of Alabama's law will not change. He said the law will not be repealed and that anyone who works in the state will have to do so legally.
