ATLANTA (AP) -- Georgia's secretary of state has certified results from the Nov. 2 general election.
Brian Kemp said Tuesday he had received results from all 159 counties.
The tallies confirm that Republicans swept all statewide constitutional offices this year.
Tuesday's certified results show Republican Nathan Deal defeated
Democrat Roy Barnes by 259,937 votes out of 2.6 million cast in the
race for governor.
There will be seven runoff elections held Nov. 30.
Five of them are judicial elections -- one for a state Supreme Court seat and another for a seat on the Court of Appeals.
The other two are district attorney races.
