For these candidates it's all about jobs and listening to the public.
Your candidates for Houston County Commissioner in District four are Ludell Edmondson, Richard Talley and Incumbent Phillip Forrester.
"The people need to know who their county commissioner is and be able to see who is in office and see that they are willing to work for them."
Edmondson and Talley believe the current commissioner hasn't made himself available enough to the public.
"The current commissioner has not been active or accessible in the district."
Forrester says he's serving the community to the best of his ability.
"I don't know where he's coming from , Ive got a cell phone....don't know how i can be more accessible."
Accessibility aside, in the tough economy Edmondson says if she is elected she will focus on attracting big business to the wiregrass.
"And let them know they're bringing industrial... we need jobs in Houston County"
Forrester says Ludmondson's efforts would be best served on another organization.
"First questionI would ask her is is she a member of the chamber of commerce?....That's what the chamber does, I've been on the chamber of commerce all my life."
Tallyey says he will rely on the public's input.
"Quarterly meetings....I have a website, cell phone is out there....."
