Rick Santorum speaks at Great Overland Station in Topeka
Rick Santorum had a rally at Battleship Park in Mobile Friday morning.
Santorum used the rally to focus on energy and national security.
He says President Obama has failed the nation and puts the U.S. at risk when it comes to countries like Iran obtaining nuclear weapons.
Santorum also attacked the President on national security, saying Obama refuses to acknowledge the U.S.'s fight with radical Islam.
He's now the presidential candidate to spend the most time in Mobile and says he hopes his message is getting through.
"You know the kind of commitment to the principles that made this country great, a strong national defense, pro-growth, energy and economic policies, and someone who understands the uh the centrality of uh of the family," he said.
The first Rasmussen Poll of likely republican voters in Alabama shows Newt Gingrich in the lead with 30 percent. He's followed by Santorum and Mitt Romney.
Texas congressman Ron Paul is a distant fourth with just 7 percent of the vote.
