County Commissioners Francis Cook and Bobby Snellgroves served at their last meeting today.
Both were awarded certificates of “Congressional Recognition” from Congressman Bobby Bright.
Here are their parting words.
"I'm still a citizen of Houston County so we'll be watching them won't we Bobby...so they better do good and they better take care of our taxpayer dollars and I’m sure that they will,” said Cook.
"There’s only less than one percent...one percent of the general public that ever has an opportunity to serve as a public servant and I certainly hope I haven't let anyone down over the last 12 years,” said Snellgrove.
The commissioners served a combined 28 years.
Cook served 16 and Snellgrove served 12.
