MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Republican candidate for governor Robert
Bentley returned several campaign contributions from corporations after the attorney general received a complaint that Bentley was exceeding the donation limits in Alabama's campaign finance laws.

Former Birmingham City Councilman Jimmy Blake complained to the
attorney general last week that Bentley had reported six contributions from corporations exceeding the $1,500 limit.

Bentley's spokeswoman, Rebekah Mason, says the campaign staff went through all contributions and found two more, or eight total. She says all those contributions were returned in full Saturday.

Mason says the campaign sent back the money two days before the
attorney general's office sent a letter advising it to return contributions exceeding $1,500.
