GOP officials are calling this break in highly suspicious just days away from a heated election.
A total of 9 laptops were stolen which I am told contained highly sensitive information to the party.
Workers with the Republican Party spent the morning trying to repair the back door of the building, they say the burglars broke in that door with a crow bars sometime overnight.
To the party's knowledge nothing else was stolen except for those 9 laptops, mostly used for phone banks and contained important contact information for voters.
GOP officials says while break-ins certainly occur randomly this one certainly raises an eyebrow.
“We feel a little violated in here particularly this time of year with election whether its related or not its difficult to tell,” says Rich Giordano with the Montgomery County Republican Party, “It certainly is an odd coincidence, I will leave it at that.”
Workers and volunteers with the party say while this was a small set back today, they are certainly not letting this stop their momentum.
They are continuing the phone banks but now just using old fashioned pen and paper.
They do realize it is unlikely those laptops will be recovered.
