Sparks Proposes Gift Ban for AL Governor's Staff

Ron Sparks AL Agriculture Comm

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - The Democratic nominee for governor, Ron
Sparks, says that if he is elected, he will sign an executive order prohibiting all members of his staff from accepting anything of value from a registered lobbyist.

Sparks said Monday he will also require people who lobby the executive branch of government to register the same way that people
who lobby the Legislature are required to register. Sparks says the
change will allow the public to see who's trying to influence the
executive branch.

The two-term agriculture commissioner says citizens deserve a
government free of conflicts of interest and influence peddling.

I truly believe that Ron Sparks will be the best Gov for Alabama, he seems to be more concerned about what is best for the people of Alabama, all this bull crap over the bingo thing is sickning, if it will help the states unemployment and the states revenue then more power to him, and i really believe that it will. Republican or whatever better think of whats in the best interest of the people.
