MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Montgomery attorney Gibson Vance has
been elected president of the American Association for Justice, which represents 30,000 trial lawyers throughout the country.
Vance won the post at the group's recent convention in
Vancouver, Canada. Vance is a former president of the Alabama Association for Justice and is the first Alabamian to serve as president of the national organization.
Vance says it's an honor to lead the association at a time when the importance of the civil justice system has never been more obvious.
