MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Former Alabama Secretary of State Nancy
Worley has won an appeal involving the felony charges against her,
but her three-year-old case is still a long way from being over.

The Alabama Supreme Court on Friday reversed a ruling by the
Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals that had reinstated felony
charges against Worley. The Supreme Court told the lower court to
review the matter again by evaluating the evidence the state
attorney general's office expected to present against Worley.

Attorney General Troy King says he disagrees with the ruling,
which drew praise from Worley's attorney, Democratic attorney
general candidate James Anderson.

Worley was indicted in 2007 on five felony charges and five
misdemeanor charges involving a letter, bumper sticker and campaign
donation envelope that she sent to her employees when seeking
re-election.
