(MONTGOMERY, AL) – Today, Martha Roby announced the endorsement of former Congressman Terry Everett, who represented Alabama’s Second District from 1993 to 2009.
“I thank Congressman Everett for his support and his guidance,” said Martha Roby. “He is a public servant in the best sense of the word and served this district well. I am grateful to have him stand with me in this campaign, and I look forward to working with him in the coming months.”
“We need to restore conservative leadership in Washington,” said Everett. “Nancy Pelosi doesn’t represent the values of southeast Alabama. We need to send someone who will fight for our conservative values every day. Martha Roby will do that.”
Everett, a native of the Wiregrass, was first elected in 1992 and served eight terms. In the House he was a leader on defense, veteran and agricultural issues, fighting for Fort Rucker, Maxwell-Gunter and Alabama’s farmers.
Also, Everett was a senior member of the House Select Committee on Intelligence and currently serves as a Senior Advisor for our nation’s Space Protection Program.
