Marilyn Hobby Gilley, age 69, of Ariton, died Friday evening, August 14, 2009, in Dale Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. (EDST) Tuesday, August 18, 2009 in Park Hill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia with Reverend Mike Nicholes officiating. Interment will follow with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Monday evening. Mrs. Gilley was born August 18, 1939 in Moultrie, Georgia to the late Carl E. and Lucy Johnson Hobby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Joann McKinnon, and one sister, Carolyn Brooks. Survivors include her husband, Freddie Mack Gilley of Ariton; one daughter, Sharon Anderson of Glennville, Georgia; one son, Stephen Curles of Pennsylvania; sisters, Nita Hobby Pate of Bonair, Georgia, Martha Hobby Morris of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Phyllis Hobby McKinnon of Columbus, Georgia.
