William David Tillery, a resident of Cottonwood, died Saturday August 8, 2009 from an apparent heart attack. He was 54. Funeral services for David will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday August 11, 2009 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Reverend Joe Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow in Cottonwood City cemetery with Southern Heritage directing. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2:15 PM prior to the services. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 6267, Dothan, AL 36302. David was born August 19, 1954 to Louie and Martha Alice Adams Tillery. He was raised in Columbia and was a 1972 graduate of Houston County High School. David was an auto enthusiast that had a love for cars and motorcycles. He was also fond of animals and loved his three dogs, two cats and horse. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Tillery, Cottonwood; parents; three cousins, Lilla Murphy Jones, Dothan, Lynnis Ann Davis, Tuscaloosa and Carole Ann Hammad, Demopolis.
