Johnny Clarence Lowe, a resident of Gordon, died Saturday August 8, 2009 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 67. Graveside services for Mr. Lowe will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery with Reverends Garner Wood and Larry Beauchamp officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. The family will receive friends at their residence, 242 Leslie Street, Gordon, AL. Mr. Lowe was born September 1, 1941 in Houston County to I.D. and Alma Lois Rathel Lowe. He was employed with Georgia Pacific for 22 years in maintenance and worked with Alabama Electric at Michelin. Mr. Lowe was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed bird hunting and fishing. He was a member of Gordon Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Lowe, Gordon; two daughters, Amanda and her husband, Martin Morales, Dothan, Angie Lowe, Dothan; son, Keenan and his wife, Patricia Lowe, Ashford; four grandchildren, Kasey Lowe, Jordan Lowe, Emma Morales and Ethan Morales; brother, Albert and his wife, Lisa Lowe, Gordon and his special furry friend, Ellie.
