Graduates Recognized In Wallace College Ready To Work Program

Wallace Community College graduated three students from the Ready to Work program on December 13. Students earning certificates were Joseph Lee, Crystal Penuel, and Vickie Edwards.

The Ready to Work program includes training in basic education, computer skills, problem solving skills, workplace behaviors, manufacturing concepts, and job acquisition techniques. Successful completers earn an “Alabama Certified Worker” (ACW) Certificate and a State of Alabama “Career Readiness Credential” (CRC). Participants must be at least 17 years old, preferably with a high school diploma or GED, and are actively seeking employment and/or plan to attend college or vocational training classes.

The eight-week program is offered four times per year in both Eufaula and Dothan. The next Ready to Work class begins January 28, 2013. Applications for enrollment are available at the Center for Workforce Development at 5565 Montgomery Highway, Dothan, Ala., WCC Sparks Campus in Eufaula, or the Lake Area Career Center.
