Eufaula, Ala.-Wallace Community College-Sparks Campus will hold the 2014 Spring Commencement Exercises on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. The event will take place at the Eufaula Community Center.
Mr. Robert Rhoades, Wallace Community College graduate and local business owner, will offer the keynote address. Mr. Rhoades holds a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University, but returned to school at Wallace Community College after making a decision to own his own business. He received his Associates in Applied Science in 2006. Rhoades started his own business, Diamond-R-Electric, and today has clients in commercial, government, and privately-owned sectors. The business enjoys gross revenues of over $4M a year and has more than 26 employees.
Mr. Rhoades serves on the advisory board for the Electrical Technology Program at WCC, has hired several graduates of the program for his business, and actively donates equipment, supplies, and materials to the program.
