Houston County, AL - The Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center was full of Houston County's brightest graduating seniors Friday morning.
The top ten seniors from Ashford, Cottonwood, Houston County, Rehobeth, and Wicksburg High Schools were recognized at an honor breakfast.
“It's to recognize them for the work they've done for 13 years. We're very proud of them. We hope they take the potential because that's what it is, potential, and be all they can be,” said Houston County Schools Superintendent Tim Pitchford.
Troy University Coach Michael Murphy addressed the seniors, and said this is just the beginning.
He encouraged them to pursue a career that’s in demand, but said a degree won’t be enough. They will need to do more like interning and volunteering.
These seniors and their peers will graduate Friday, May 24, at the Dothan Civic Center.
