The Enterprise City School system will have a 2 hour delay on Friday, January 31st. While the roads within the city are clear, there are still some county roads and neighborhood roads that remain icy. There is also a concern of the refreezing of wet roads and bridges during the night.
“The Coffee County Emergency Management Agency has recommended a delayed start, and we feel that this is the best decision. I am most concerned about the safety of our inexperienced student drivers,” Superintendent Dr. Camille Wright said. “A two hour delay will give the remaining ice time to thaw as the temperatures rise.”
A 2 hour delay means buses will run 2 hours later than normal. All employees are encouraged to report to work at the normal time if possible.
ECS will resume all scheduled activities tomorrow.
