Ozark city school leaders released their AYP results.
The system passed, but one school did not.
DA Smith Middle School failed to reach the benchmark for special education in reading.
Superintendent Michael Lenhart did point out, a school is only required to monitor that sub-group if there are 40 or more special education students.
He says those with less may be doing their students a disservice.
“They can completely neglect that subgroup and the public would never know. From my perspective, if I had a child, I would want my child at DA Smith School."
