After almost a full school year of renovations, Northview High School unveiled its new media center Thursday.

Of course there is new furniture and carpet, but the highlight is the new technology.

Two computer labs with about 60 brand new Mac and Dell computers.

These state-of-the-art electronics can be used for a variety of ways in the learning process.

Some classes have already used the technology.

Students are excited to move in. Brandon Etheredge, a sophomore attending Northview High, says that it is “kind almost like what you would expect when you go to a college where you have places you can study and come and it just looks like it is here for a reason and it gives us a place to study and work on papers and do anything we need to do.”

Some classes have already used the technology.

One social studies class used the iPads and projectors to Skype with a holocaust survivor in Birmingham.
