One Wiregrass school got some much needed funding.
Senator Harri Anne Smith gave the Wicksburg High School $9,000 on behalf of the State of Alabama.
Second and third grade classrooms will be getting interactive smart boards.
They are simialar to boards at Morris Slingluff Elemenarty School.
These will be the first boards for the school.
"These educators have our children in their hands everyday, they mold our future so teachers mean the world to these children and we need to do everything we can to to support our teachers and our school system," said Al. Sen. Harri Anne Smith, (I) District 29
Once all the 2nd and 3rd grade classes get smart boards, Principal Smith will be working to get that same technology for 4th and 5th grade.
Senator Smith also presented the principal with a certificiate of appreciation on behalf of the state of Alabama.
