Changes to Houston County Schools

The Houston County Board of Education met on Thursday to discuss some new changes to select schools. The changes are as follows.

• Rehobeth High School has a new principal but he is a familiar face. The Houston County Board of Education named Assistant Rehobeth High School Principal Bobby Boyd to lead the school.
• The board also voted to allow Wicksburg High School to pay $250 a year to lease additional parking for football games.
• Ashford High School will be getting a new lawnmower.
• School Superintendent Tim Pitchford says security systems will be installed at County Schools.
