The future of the city schools continues to be as hazy as it was more than a year ago when school board members decided school reform was a must.
But one thing that's clear is theme based academies will be a part of that reform process, and school Superintendent Sam Nichols says the best way to implement those academies is to build a brand new high school instead of trying to merge the city's two high schools.
The new school would cost about 60 million dollars.
School board members hope to begin holding public forums on the issue sometime in May.
