The Dale County School System is receiving 1,800 computers. They are being donated from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.

The computers were dropped off in Ozark on Tuesday.

School officials say the equipment will help students and staff in more ways than one.

"This will enable not only our teachers but our students and our community to move forward and to prepare our students for the 21st century because some of our students do not have computers at home so this will enable them to afford that opportunity," says Dale County School Superintendent Donny Bynum.

School officials hope to have the computers set up by the next school year.
