Senator Harri Anne Smith made a special visit to Montana Magnet School in Dothan and it was to drop off an extra special gift on Friday.
A big check for $10,000 was given to the school to buy supplies.
The money came from community service grants as part of the Education Trust Fund.
Matt Parker from the Chamber of Commerce, Mark Culver, the Houston County Commission Chairman and Dr. Sam Nichols, Dothan Schools Superintendent were also there.
Students danced and sang for the senator and presented Senator Smith with a big bag of snacks to thank her for the big check.
