April marks national child abuse prevention month. Students across the Wiregrass began this week sporting Blue Ribbons and learning the dangers of child abuse.
Some students say learning about abuse now will help a lot of kids when they get older.
"When they grow up they won't be like other people that are mean and bad and hurt other people," says Kelly Springs, a student.
A list of activities are planned for students and teachers throughout the week helping them learn how they can help stop child abuse.
