Northview High School Principal

The search is on for a new Northview High School principal. That's because David Hopson retired from that position Monday night. He served as the principal of Northview for seven years.

Hopson accepted an assistant principal position at Dacula High School and will be working with 3200 students and nine other assistant principals.

The search for a new Northview principal has begun. The Dothan City School Board will be accepting applications for the next two weeks. All applicants will be screened and undergo an interview process.

Hopson will be involved in the process by making a recommendation to the school board.

He says his leaving is bittersweet.

The school board is meeting on June 30 and hope to be able to name a new principal at that time.
