Education Prize Patrol

WTVY News 4 is continuing to follow the Dothan Education Foundation Prize Patrol this week.

They are awarding grants to teachers for special projects.

A $1,200 grant was awarded to Rhonda Hart at Selma Street Elementary School for her school wide Be At Your Best Program.

It's a character education program using music as the foundation.

Karla Good and Ashley McGhee got a $500 grant at Selma Street for a take home ready library for kindergarteners.

It includes individual tote bags to encourage youngsters to take their reading home.

And, Amy Braswell at Cloverdale Elementary gets a $500 grant for parent pouches. These are bags with a storybook, a puppet and other activities for children to take home to parents for work together.

Our congratulations to these education foundation prize patrol recipients.
