Dale County High School received a $35,000 grant to upgrade five 9th grade and one 10th grade classrooms.
The grant is in an effort to lower the dropout rate from 34 percent to 10 percent.
Classrooms will be equipped with computers, DVD’s, VCR's, white boards, cameras and projectors.
"It will enhance teaching strategies and enhance teacher opportunities to expand the curriculum into real life situations," says Dale County High School Principal Leavy Boutwell.
The school is expected to have the new equipment at the beginning of next school year.
