Fuel for School Buses

If rising gasoline prices have put a crimp on your household budget, imagine trying to buy fuel for a fleet of school buses.

The Enterprise City School System is paying as much as 30 cents per gallon more for fuel than it did a year ago.

That is also the case for the 120 school districts statewide.

School systems don't have to pay sales taxes, which saves 32 to 42 cents per gallon.

Bob Tomberlin, Transportation Director of Enterprise City Schools says Enterprise is lucky they have the reserve funds to cover the added fuel costs.
