Every Wednesday, News 4 This Morning takes a look at the stories from our show that viewers and readers are talking about on our webchannel and related social media.

Throughout the previous week, we’ve kept you informed on a slowly-developing tropical disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico. As of early Wednesday morning, the storm had a 40% potential of becoming a Tropical Depression or Tropical Storm according to the National Hurricane Center. On one of the stories about that storm system, a user named Japser, left the comment, "We need a slow drizzle soaking. Nothing Flashy, No flooding, No high winds. Just some slow raining with a little lightening and some rumbling thunder. Just thinking about that makes me sooo sleepy."

Tuesday, we told you about a pig. But, it wasn’t just any pig. This pig had a special name: Chris P. Bacon, and it had a special way to get around. Born with bad back legs, a veterinarian in Florida adopted the pig and constructed a special set of wheels to allow it to move. On our Facebook page, Ashley Sullivan had a simple response to the story, “Okay. This is just cute!”

Last Wednesday, News 4 told you about a billboard controversy in California. A JC-Penney sign for a tea kettle was said to resemble the notorious Nazi dictator, Hitler! On our Facebook page, we posted a picture of the kettle and asked what you thought it resembled. Cynthia Coatney said, “If you give it ears, it’ll look like Mickey Mouse!” Rachel Peaster thought that it “Looks more like a panda with no eyes than Hitler to me.” And, Jennifer Howell said simply, “Statue of Liberty.”

Last Thursday, News 4 shared a report called “Meet the Bronies,” where teenage and adult fans of the animated series, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic explained why they were fans of the show in their own words. The article received 1500 views, not just from the United States, but other countries across the world! It was also linked by fan sites such as Equestria Daily, The Daily Oat, and Equestria Confidential. Others commented on the story such as Felicia Schuman, who said, “Thank you guys so much for giving us all the chance to explain to those not in the know why we love this show. We need more fair, unbiased news outlets like you guys!"
