For this week, we'll be highlighting three major movies you'll be able to buy starting May 14th, 2013.
“Cloud Atlas” (Rated R, Warner Home Video, Blu-Ray and DVD) – Directed by the Wachowski siblings of Matrix fame and starring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry, Cloud Atlas in an adaptation of the David Mitchell novel of the same name. The film is set across multiple times with equally multiple plot lines. The Blu-Ray release features a variety of featurettes on the making of the film.
“My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Season Two” (Shout Factory, DVD Only, Amazon Exclusive) – Targeted towards girls, but embraced by teenage and adult fans known as Bronies, the second season of the hit animated series features twenty-six episodes. These include several fan-favorites such as “Lesson Zero,” “The Last Roundup,” and “A Canterlot Wedding.” The set also features extra features such as a live reading of an episode and a panel on the show from a comic convention.
“VR Troopers: Season Two – Volume 1” (Shout Factory, DVD Only) – Following the massive success of Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, this live-action 90s series follows in the footsteps of Power Rangers by combining new footage of American actors with footage from Japanese action shows. Starring future soap opera actress Sarah Brown alongside Brad Hawkins and Michael Bacon, this release features 20 episodes of the show’s second season.
