It's loud, it's proud and it's big...
The Southern Showcase Marching Band Invitational kicked off at Rip Hewes Stadium this afternoon.
Thirty bands from Florida, Georgia and Alabama performed everything from hip-hop and jazz, and even the classics.
All of them were on a mission to prove that their own special beat should top the charts.
The event was co-sponsored by Dothan and Northview High School bands and all of the money raised will go towards uniforms, band repairs, equipment, and transportation.
