International Space Station Command Change

There was a change of command at the International Space Station on Wednesday (March 13).

Commander Chris Hadfield is taking over the leadership reigns from NASA Commander Kevin Ford. Hadfield officially assumed command in a brief ceremony Wednesday at the ISS just after 5 p.m. ET.

Hadfield is the first Canadian astronaut to assume the role. During the ceremony, the astronauts played the Canadian national anthem, 'O Canada.'
