Almost 4 Million Early, Absentee Votes Cast in FL

MIAMI (AP) -- Almost 4 million early and absentee votes have been cast in Florida.

State election officials say 3.9 million early (2,026,760) and absentee (1,887,754) ballots have been returned.

Saturday was the last day for early voting. Officials say voters can still pick up an absentee ballot from their supervisor of elections office and their vote will count as long as it's returned by 7 p.m. Tuesday. Voters in line when the polls close on election day will also be allowed to vote.

For election day, there are more than 6,000 voting locations -- compared to less than 300 for early voting.
