Record low temperatures in Wisconsin over the weekend, forced residents to bundle up for a little summer fun.

It's almost August in central Wisconsin, but it certainly didn't feel like it this weekend.

Kathy Volz and her husband headed home after a weekend in the Northwood’s.

Despite the chilly and windy weather, they both wanted ice cream.
But her raspberry sundae came with a compromise.

Forecasters say at least twelve cities in central and eastern Wisconsin broke records for their lowest daytime high temperatures for July 27th.

Some smashing records in place for nearly a century!

At Nine Mile Forest, cyclists say the cold didn't stop the final day of the Wausau 24 bike race.

Many added extra layers to stay warm for the marathon ride.

Racers and spectators huddled around campfires all weekend.
Organizers say in the event's history--That's a first.

For people wanting a warmer place to go, shopping was another option.

But even with the cooler temperatures mall workers say it was a slow weekend.

A surprisingly cool weekend these people say they won't forget.
Just to give you some perspective, forecasters say this time of year, the average high in Wausau is around 80-degrees.
