Veterans Parade Train Crash

Two military veterans and their wives are suing over a deadly parade accident in Midland, Texas.
The four were part of a group riding a flatbed truck in a veterans parade on November 15th when a freight train slammed into them.
Four veterans on the float were killed.
More than a dozen others were injured.
The suit cites gross negligence on behalf of the railroad company and the company that owned the flatbed truck.
They claim train operator failed to provide a safe railroad crossing or proper warning...
and the driver of the truck failed to exercise reasonable care for passengers.
Union Pacific, the train operator, says the investigation shows the truck proceeded onto the tracks eight seconds after the flashing lights and bells activated.
The National Transportation Safety Board has not yet released the full results of its investigation.
