Astronauts aboard the International Space Station plucked the Orbital Sciences' Cygnus capsule from its docking station and released it into space.
The unmanned capsule was part of Virginia-based Orbital Sciences Corp's test mission Tuesday (Oct. 22).
The test cleared the way for the firm to begin regular cargo runs for NASA under a $1.9 billion contract.
