Tropical Storm Alvin is No More

The first Tropical Storm of the 2013 Pacific Tropical Season is no longer a tropical system.

According to the eighth and final advisory from the National Hurricane Center, Alvin is no a trough and no longer displaying tropical characteristics.

The remnants, nearly 800 miles to the southwest of Manzanillo in Mexico, are now putting out winds around 30 to 35 miles per hour. At its peak, Alvin had sustained winds around 50 miles per hour.

These remnants are expected to gradually diminish.
