Trimming the Red


The president's deficit commission is voting on a tough plan aimed at trimming America's red ink.

The proposal includes reducing the annual cost of living increases for social security and raising the retirement age to 69.

Key leaders from both parties are embracing it, but it appears unlikely the plan will get enough votes to go to Congress.
