DALLAS (AP) -- Authorities in Texas say being denied water was a
punishment for bed wetting but dehydration eventually killed the
10-year-old boy.

The boy's parents are in custody.

Authorities say the boy was denied water for five days in 100-degree temperatures.

OMG I CANT BELIEVE THIS HOW CAN U DENY A CHILD WATER BC THEY WET THE BED. I HOPE & PRAY THAT THEY GET WHAT THEY DESERVE. THAT IS SO CRUEL THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOIN. WE ALL KNOW THAT WE NEED WATER TO NOURISH OUR BODIES & FOR THIS CHILD TO HAVE TO GO 5 LONG DAYS WITHOUT WATER IS TORTURE. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH HIS FAMILY THAT HE LEFT BEHIND. I HOPE THIS DOESNT HAPPEN TO ANOTHER CHILD BUT UNFORTUNATELY THIS IS WHAT THE WORLD HAS COME TO. MAY GOD BE WITH U ANOTHER ANGEL GONE TO SOON.
