Your loose change is adding up for the transportation security administration.
In the past two years, the agency has collected more than $450,000 in unclaimed money.
The TSA currently keeps the money.
Georgia Congressman Lynn West Moreland is co-sponsoring a bill to require the agency transfer collected money to non-profits, like the USO.
That organization provides a host of services to servicemen and women and their families.
"There are a lot of things they do provide. Things as far as helping with groceries helping with families in need other times of the year. There's families who don't have the ability to go to the store and buy what they need for their kids, especially with our service members I think that's so important they are out fighting for our freedoms and their families don't have what they need back home," said military wife Bambi Watson.
Services like the USA lounge at the Atlanta airport allow military families to enjoy the comforts of home during layovers.
No word yet on if the bill is likely to pass.
