Will Trayvon Martin's Hoodie be Displayed at a Museum?

Should Trayvon Martin’s hoodie be put on display in the Smithsonian museum?

The director of the National Museum of African American History and Culture says she’s like to have Martin’s sweatshirt. That statement is leading to a debate about what is appropriate to put on exhibit.

The Newseum in Washington has the cabin where unabomber Ted Kaczinski assembled his explosives. It also has the shoes worn by shoe bomber Richard Reid.

However, Martin’s hoodie probably won’t make it into the museum any time soon.

“I think the art world probably wouldn’t be lining up to display this tomorrow because it could be seen as a little exploitative,” said Kelly Crow, Reporter for the Wall Street Journal.

Right now, the hoodie is being held as evidence for a possible Federal case against George Zimmerman.
