Summer storms slammed southern Arizona -- bringing intense bands of rain to the desert.
Meteorologists say more than an inch of rain fell in just a few minutes.
Wind gusts over sixty miles an hour were reported.
That left major damage to a number of homes in the city, with roofs torn off and carports destroyed.
No major injuries were reported.
