A driver in Houston is lucky to be alive after a violent collision with a train.
Police say the driver ran a red light and tried to beat the train by going around the crossing gates.
That's when the train rammed into the vehicle.
Two adults and two children were in the SUV at the time of the accident.
The two adults were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and later released.
The two children were not hurt.
Police say they will cite the driver for running the red light and going around the crossing gates.
