Virginia State Police and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office are still trying to determine what led to a pedestrian's death early Wednesday morning on Interstate 81.
Police say the unidentified male was hit by more than one vehicle.
Authorities say they're investigating witness reports indicating the man either jumped or fell from an overpass before he landed on the highway and was struck by passing vehicles.
