A new CNN/ORC poll shows President Obama holds a double digit lead over both Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum in hypothetical general election match ups.

According to the poll, if the general election were held today instead of November, 54-percent of registered voters say they would back President Obama to the 43-percent that would support Romney.

In a Santorum-Obama match up, President Obama would have 55-percent support, to Santorum's 42-percent.
