Every Tuesday, News 4 highlights the major releases hitting DVD and Blu-Ray.
For this week, we'll be highlighting three major movies you'll be able to buy starting May 7th, 2013.
Our look at releases stars with "Mama." This is a horror film that follows the story of two abandoned girls in, you guessed it, a cabin. There, they are raised by a mysterious entity they call "Mama." The film stars Jessica Chastain and David Fox, and is co-produced by Guillermo del Toro. "Mama" is rated PG-13
We move now from the horror genre to a different one: the thriller. "Jack Reacher" is an adaptation of a novel by Lee Child. The title character, Reacher, is played by Tom Cruise. He plays a homicide investigator who has to crack the case of five seemingly random victims that may have a common killer. “Jack Treacher” is rated PG-13 and also stars Robert Duvall.
The new Superman live-action film doesn't come out in theaters until next month, but fans of the Man of Steel can enjoy an all new direct-to-video film in the meantime. Superman: Unbound comes out Tuesday May 7th, 2013. Featuring White Collar’s Matt Bomer as the voice of Superman: Unbound has him and Supergirl teaming up to stop Brainiac. Brainiac is a villainous cybernetic threat, who seeks to take the knowledge of every world, before destroying those worlds. This animated feature is rated PG-13 and also features the voices of Molly Quinn and Deidrich Bader.
